Recently, a mosque construction project in Daegu was controversial. The residents of the neighborhood where the mosque was supposed to be built carried out some demonstrations against the project. The Muslims claim this reaction is racism and a breach of religion freedom.
The Muslims have right to say that. Their project was being pursued legally following the construction permission from local government. But their unfamiliar religious ritual and negative image because of terrorism hardly convince the local residents to welcome their religious shrine.
As for, I don't want to be bias about their religion, culture, customs. but it is true that I'm concerned about potential negative impacts seeing what is going on in Europe.
