You can see many emotional jobs on the labor market.
Unforturnately, it happens to see female worker going through creepy sexual harassment.
I came across an interesting publication authored by an american research team suggesting service workers can be easily victim of sexual harassment because of two cultures. One is tipping and another is friendly displays requirements with customers. According to this research, customers feel a sense of power facing their service workers. the author advises the service organizations to reduce or eliminate the two factors to prevent the customers' wrongful behaviors.
To say nothing of the sexual harassement, I can notice in workplace, some people walk all over smiely and friendly coworkers especially female colleagues. I don't understand their mean-spirited behavior. I believe mutual respect matters the most in human relationships.
