Q. Let’s start the interview now. Tell me a little bit about yourself. A. My name is Sujin Kim. I’m 24 years old. I live in my parent’s house in Ilsan with my younger sister. It’s cozy and good to live. I’m currently a senior majoring in fiber arts. I chose this major because I hope to work for a fashion field. I find my classes to be challenging but interesting. My hobbies these days include hiking and jogging. I generally prefer outdoor activities that I can do with other people. Every weekend, I go to the mountains around Seoul. It is a great way to refresh myself. People have told me that I have friendly personality. Someday I hope to work for a fashion company. The competition is fierce in today’s job market, so I study hard to make my dream a reality. Q. In the background of survey, you indicated that you are a student. Tell me about your school. Where is it located? What does the campus look like? What can you see on campus? Give me all the details. A. I attend Ewha Womans University. It is located in Seoul. Even though Seoul is biggest city in my country, the campus itself is free of all the hustle and bustle of a big city. It’s a very beautiful place. The university has been around for over a 134 years, and what sets it apart from others is that there are so many beautiful buildings. The best one is the Ewha Campus Complex, as known as ECC. It was built in 2008, and it was built by a French architect. Not every building on campus is new, though. Pfeiffer Hall was built in the early 1900s. This building is the center of a campus. I love take picture in front of that. In my opinion, the mix of old and new buildings strikes a good balance. Walking around campus is always pleasure, especially in the Christmas. In Christmas, the giant Christmas lease is hanging in the Auditorium. And It seems like holy place. Q. Who is your favorite professor? What classes does he or she teach? Does he or she have any special teaching method? Describe him or her as much detail as possible. A. I would say Professor Yoon is my favorite professor of all time. She teaches a skills about tapestry course. Professor Yoon is middle-aged and always wearing scarf. As for her personality, she seems very strict at first, but in fact, she has very open-minded and open-eared person. she respect our all artwork ideas so we can work creatively. I’m really thankful that I was in her class. What I like most about Professor Yoon is her teaching style. Because of it, I’ve learned to say my idea confident. Before taking her class, I talk my opinion hesitatingly. Now, however, I can say my own idea and thought by my judgement. Q. What is an issue you and your classmates talk about? How does it affect you? What needs to be done to address this concern? Provide me with as many details as possible. A. One of the issues my classmates and I are currently facing is art education’s high tuition fees. Of all the college majors, art education tuition fee is the most expensive. In spite of high tuition fee, the practice room facilities for art majors are poor. Rust water and cockroaches are come often. This is a big problem because a tendency to focus only on science and engineering and ignore art education in South Korea. One way to resolve this problem would be for the government to treat all major fairly.
